PREPARATIONS AS WE PREPARE FOR THE MASS TO BEGIN
The Sacristy can be a busy place as we all work together to make a smooth transition between Masses on Sunday mornings.
1. Vincent Robinson extinguishes the candles after the 9:30 Mass.
2. Meanwhile, the Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion who served at the 9:30 Mass are here to wash the vessels, to make them ready again for the 11:00 Mass. Today, on the crew are (left to right): Jeff and Matthew Rudolph, Rachel Hafel, Colleen Hogan and Jan Rudolph.
3. Patti McTaggart greets Catherine Ju who is serving at the altar for the first time today!
4. Catherine is in the good company of Nicole Bahl, who has been an altar server at the 11:00 Mass for a while.
Here we meet Hyung Ju Nam on his first day as altar server.
Hyung Ju has stopped to have a photo with his dad, Hee Seok Nam; mom, Kwyoung Woon In and sister Hye Rim Nam.
5. Fr. Jeff stops to say hello to the sacristan, Natalie Odilo OP, as she sets out the sacred vessels and other items on the credence table for the 11:00 Mass.
6. Fr. Ken, Patti and Fr. Jeff talk briefly about music and a few last details before the 11:00 Mass begins.
7. Today's lector, Mary Milavetz, prepares to read at the 11:00 Mass.
8. Marie Gurnett stops by to gather the altar linens that are to be laundered.
9. Catherine relights the candles just before the 11:00 Mass begins. Everything starts anew for each Mass.
10. Time to go!
