ST. MARY'S ADULT ENRICHMENT
2011 - 2012

 

ADULT INITIATION

 

Adult Initiation is for all adults who are baptized in another faith and are interested in joining the Catholic Church (known as "candidates"), and adults who were baptized Catholic but not confirmed (known as "confirmandae"), adults who were never baptized (known as "catechumens"), and anyone else interested in finding out more about the Catholic Faith.

 

FROM THE DESK OF DAN TEETS

 

Inquiry Sessions for adults wanting to learn more about the Catholic Faith are held twice each year. These sessions are for those baptized in another Christian faith, for adults who are not baptized, and for adult Catholics who have not been confirmed. It is an informal opportunity to find out more about the Adult Initiation process at St. Mary's. "Come and see!"

 

All who are interested in full initiation into the Catholic Church must participate in one of the Inquiry Sessions! Each session is the same, so you only need to attend one. You are welcome to bring a friend or sponsor to the session. For more information, contact Dan Teets at 337-43134, ext. 105.

 

Inquiry Sessions will be held :

 

          Tuesday, February 5th, 7:00 - 8:00 PM at the parish hall.

 

          Thursday, February 7th, 7:00 - 8:00 PM at the parish hall.

 

          Sunday, February 10th, 10:30 - 11:30 AM at the rectory

                                                  (the brick house next door to the church).

 

 

INITIATION SESSIONS

 

Schedules for initiation sessions for baptized adults for Spring 2012 will be posted soon.

 

These teaching sessions are open to all adults. Free child care will be offered on site, but you must register in advance! For more information, please call Dan Teets at 337-4314, Ext. 105.

 

CALL FOR SPONSORS

 

We are always looking for folks who are interested in being community sponsors for the Adult Initiation process. If you are a Confirmed, practicing Catholic and are interested in being a sponsor, please contact Dan Teets at 337-4314, Ext. 105 to find out more about this ministry of being a companion for the journey.
